i am not on any medication right now, i haven't even started my gerd medication. i think it was low blood sugar. thank you for your response i will talk to my doctor soon
It is possible that the medicine for the Hpylori is making you feel nauseous. Continue taking it, but take it with food. Also, low blood sugar can make you pass out. Please make sure you get back to the doctor soon. You really have to find out what all is going on. God bless you dear I will keep you in my prayers.
again, thank you so much for your responses. they are very nice and thoughtful.
i have a blood test tomorrow and i just passed out. i wasn't feeling well and i was on the bathroom and felt lightheaded before that but then i just remember having my head up against the bathtub and my parents were yelling asking if i was ok. i hadn't eaten in a while but i was getting food but i was too nauseous to eat it so i thought i would go pee and then maybe i would feel better. then after i woke up i went outside and started gagging.
is passing out a big symptom of something else that hasn't been mentioned?? i think my blood sugar was very low. it is 10PM and i hadn't eaten a meal since this morning but it was a big meal, pancakes with syrup. but i'd eaten candy throughout the day.
A doctor should never think that you are a hypochondriac. Sometimes it does take a while to find a doctor that actually cares about the patient instead of the money they are making. You keep taking those medications for the Hpylori and hopefully you will start seeing a decrease in certain symptoms soon. Let your doctor know about everything that is going on without the fear that they may think you are a hypochondriac. Sometimes there is an underlying problem that an explain everything and a doctor should exhaust all options before givng up. I hope things work out for you and I am so glad that you found a doctor you are happy with. Take care and please keep us updated. We may not know you and you may not know us, but we do care about your health. Good luck dear.
Yes, it's h-pylori. :)
Thank you so much for the kind responses. I'm actually incredibly happy with my new doctor, he actually explained everything to me and listened to my symptoms and interviewed and tested me for about 2 hours. I've always just gone to random doctors who I had bad experiences with, and I've had bad experiences with people online as well, but it's weird that all of a sudden I'm getting opposite. :)
I am actually getting tested for Cushing's Syndrome as well. I'm not sure if it's that or if it could be PCOS but they're going to monitor my cortisol levels. I have been tested for a wheat allergy, which is when they diagnosed the GERD and h-pylori. I had one of those video cameras stuck down my throat and into my stomach, they would've seen the parasite then, right?
I've suspected hypoglycemia for a while now, but I'm thinking of bringing that and the things you mentioned up when/if my other tests come back negative and I still have undiagnosed symptoms, so my doctors don't think I'm a complete hypochondriac :)
Hello~I agree with the rest of the group, a good Internist is definitely called for. You have so many different issues going on, and they could be due to a lot of things.
Some of this appears to be related to hypoglycemia, this can cause so many problems that mimic other problems. It could also be due to food allergies, since you get sick every time you eat, you body could be rejecting the food because it knows it is allergic to it. Having the high cortisol levels lead me to suspect this. Ask you doctor to give you some blood test for allergies.
Also, have you been tested for Chronic Fatigue syndrome or Fibromyalgia, this diseases also have some of the symptoms you mentioned. Again, this is a simple blood test.
If you have any kind of parasite in your gut, you will have all kinds of health issues, and from what I have read, this is another area that I strongly suspect could be the culprit. Have the doc run a stool test on you to test and rule out any hidden parasites. I have seen programs on TV about them, and they can make your life miserable, and cause every symptom imaginable.
Vitamins and natural supplements are a good idea, but, at this stage, you need to get to the root of the problem THEN start taking good, food grade vitamins.
I am sorry that your doctors are not taking you seriously, I have had doctors like that and it is very upsetting, if they can not find what is wrong right away, then some seem to give up. But, don't give up on your search for a good one and for one that will work with you on this.
Stomach parasite H-Pylori?
Im glad you went to the doctor and that they are going to be testing you for different things. I think that is a great decision. Also, if you are not satisfied with your doctor, you can always try another.
I've worked for many doctors over the years and I have also seen many doctors over the last few months. I know what you mean about them not taking you seriously or listening to what you are trying to tell them.
I really do hope they find out what is going on with you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck.
I went to the doctor and I am going to be checked for anemia, and Addison's disease. My cortisol levels were too high, but they don't know if I have it and told me not to worry. I'll be getting a lot of blood work done over the next few months. I am also going to be taking some antidepressants/anti-anxiety medication and I have an infection in my stomach which I'll be going on antibiotics for, and when the parasite is gone, I'll go back on a stronger dose of my GERD medication.
My doctor also told me that I needed to start taking vitamins, and that I needed to gain around 15 pounds.
Thank you all for your help.
I don't think that's rude, aldunn72023, it's OK. I'm just posting here though because doctors tend to brush it off when I tell them some of my symptoms. I've been getting them since I was very young and it's only now that I've got a little bit of unusual blood work that they're taking me seriously. Even then, it's taken me over 4 months to get the results of that blood work, and they haven't even told me what the results are. They are also only testing me for symptoms of less important stuff that I barely even notice, not the stuff I mentioned here.
I just want to know if my symptoms pass for any one illness, perhaps if I were to find one, I could say to my doctor that I thought I had it. Then he'd ask me what symptoms I had of it and I would say yes to all my symptoms and he would take me seriously. Even if I didn't have that illness, it'd get my doctor's attention and when it came back negative he would do more work.
Not to be rude, but you shouldnt be on here, you should be seeing a real doctor in person to have blood work done and neurological tests.
Hello caregiver222,
Thank you for your response. I don't really know what all of that means, but I thought I didn't have diabetes because I tried the sugar thing and my sister has a boyfriend with diabetes and she tells me that I most likely don't have it.
I have gotten many blood tests done in the past when I had colds, I don't know if they look for everything, though. I get mysterious colds sometimes, where I get very sick and can't stop coughing and sometimes can't move for around a month. Then I get better. The whole time, the doctors are always trying to figure out what's wrong with me because I am genuinely sick, but they've never figured out what it was (it wasn't the normal flu or cold or anything). I got tested in February and they told me I had some hormonal irregularities and put me on the pill, but then something else that I don't know what was came back abnormal and they called me around 1-2 months ago about it, and I'm going to a gynecologist tomorrow because of it, actually.
I have also been diagnosed with GERD, but not the fat people kind. It won't go away if I lose weight. Still, it isn't supposed to make me as nauseous as it does after I haven't eaten anything bad or triggering at all, and it happened when I was taking my medication as well.
I would be all right with it being a mythical creature, as I am familiar with the paranormal. I am an avid watched of Unsolved Mysteries and could contact Ghost Busters if needed.

You need someone to pay attention to you and provide a full work-up at a teaching hospital.
The should include a hematology work-up, neuro, diabetes, endochronology (a must), and of course cardiology and neurology. And a full panel of bloodwork. Any good teaching hospital should know exactly what to do without suggestions. Make sure you get a copy of the results and post here what they come up with.
Please ask your mom or dad or guardian to arrange for this to happen.
