do you guys think that maybe the CDC does not claim cases of delayed seroconversion in order to not creat havoc?

anyway, i read somewhere that the very few cases of delayed seroconversion were never fully proven and the details of these cases are shady. they might have been on PEP or they may have been reexposed. anyone else know anything about this?

thank you

I mean....tamponated....and I think you understood perfectly. Why I you takin' on me since i just read what doc said: Glicerin + Nistatin, local badijoning..... I am trolling nothing, I only say the truth. I come up with facts and you only deny me, but no arguments. If the medicine said so, what's my fault? I still have the box.......:(

Move on and quit trolling the forum. You do not have HIV and no one ever gets their tongue bandaged.

i thought the study on the uganda prostitutes was about some women were not getting infected even though they were at high risk, than some of them got infected. it wasnt delayed seroconversion it was delayed in transmission, i may be wrong but that is what i came across. the longest one on record with the cdc is a nurse who took 81/2 months , she was co infected with hep c, dont know if there was pep involved .

Chris, can you link this ugandan study? How do they know when they were even infected if they're prostitutes? It makes no sense.

a specialist on HIV, that also prescribed Glicerin + Nistatin to bandige the tongue, but no result in 1 month......also the doc said she doesn't believe I am HIV+, but the symptoms are...bloody matching......also....who gets vaginal and oral candida and lymph nodes and HIV-?

yes, but HBV does not cause oral and vaginal candida and lymph nodes all over body. leucoplaxie is the thing on my tongue cause it does not remove the white. sb said today that's very common for ARS. if it removes is only candida, also due to antibiotics.
As for the story, I've read u're profile weeks ago, but could not find any story. :(

I am worried of being one of the rare cases since I have HBV and nothing cures any more! who ever heared of ARS lasting 5months?! that only means my body is just not useful at all in producing any kind of antibodies .....

The 3% has nothing to do with you. You don't fall within that category.

I've told u, as well as others mad on you that you are a very smart guy that studied so much on hiv and they should respect you.
1. Well, I believe that, but....I really try to be comprehensive about it. The only thing that you don't get is that I haven't lied with anything, God's my witness, why should I lie when I wanted to know my true chances?
2. I am aware about that 97-99% at 3 months, but 3% is a large amount of people and i talk about coinfection, that delays, of course.
3. My symptoms did not match HBV, but HIV. Nobody even knows he has HBV, what symptoms then??
So you see...I try not to lie to myself. I think that personalized to my case, i have 50-50 chances....

I can't help it if you are mad. You don't have HIV, but yet you want to stay on and HIV site and obsess. The only one you are lying to is yourself.

you can read that on:

OR here:

Question:  Does HCV delays HIV antibodies production? What is the window period for HCV testing?

Answer: Dear Enquirer HCV does not delay the production of antibodies nor does it affect the detection. The window period for HCV is also three months. Best wishes

I really do not know bout that, u say that in 12 years they did not seroconvert 3months+ or 6months+ (off window), very important. I have NOT tested 6 month, only 4 and a half. At least 2 people in my country said they seroconverted >6months in 2007, that's why I am scared to death..... of course, they could lie, but..God....Who would lie bout sth like that?

Antigen tests are worthless at more than 4 weeks post infection.

this is for the both of you. NO ONE has tested negative at the 3 mth mark and then tested positive anytime after that in the past 12 years!!!! our testing has become more specific/sensitive. furthermore, in the past 27 years that HIV has been around, there are only 3 people who seroconverted after the window period( millions get tested per year). 1 person's case has not fully been proven (they suspect another exposure). and in the other 2 cases, PEP must have been a factor! if you think your gonna break history, man you would be really lucky chapeau!!!

stelutu your symptoms are not due to HIV. you know you have HBV. you know you need to see a doctor.

both of your future HIV tests will be negative!

Totally agree with Chapeau, i was very normal person, I won;t stand that. I won;t repeat what he said, i had very harsh symptoms for 5 months, now clean all of the sudden, i'll take my test with me. Chapeau, you are just fine! such a nice normal guy...

chapeau,

you are taking my words out of context. the chance that you have HIV is less than zero percent. did you get that. ARS does not last 5 mths. your anxiety has though! if you are so worried, have an antigen test, that will tell you if the virus ever entered your body. clearly this test and any further antibody testing will be negative. you are wasting your time, money, and effort. go to sleep!

Yeah i already knew this was going to be the case all along but everyone says i'm unstable for believing this but here it is...the truth about hcv & hiv co-infection after 6 months on medhelp. I had an extremely strong reaction a couple of days after i was stuck and the symptoms were persistent, strong and lengthy-5 and a half months to be exact. The were acute and similar to some of the others on MedHelp that posted positive results except it seems that everything was basically just stretched out over the course of the possible infection. What am i going to do now man...it's going to be positive after reading what you just said. I'm deff not going to stick around if i test positive. I never drank / drugged / smoked / i don't even eat animals and now i'm going to die of aids man! How does that add up? I don't even care anymore...life is a cruel joke....

they only test to 6 months with coinfection with HCV.....

coinfection with HBV has NEVER delayed the window period.
you are hiv negative!!!!!!!!!!!11 end of conversation

Oh, you haven't understood! I talk about coinfection too! and you say they test out 6months, but I do not have a test at 6months, and pretty f scared to take it! so coinfections test out by 6 months, that's just great.
BTW, i think i'm clean HCV, it's hard to sexually transmit and my ex did not have it, and the guy with the oral was tested too.
