Can sex delay sericonversion of HIV?

My husband had a high risk exposure to someone who was hiv positive. He has been doing weekly testing every week. All test came back negative. He is currently at  5 months. My husband  and I have still been having sex. We would use  condoms the first month after his exposure but than we stopped and started having unprotected sex on a  daily basis. My husband talked to a hiv counselor who informed him that me and him having sex on a regular basis could delay serioconversion. We are at  5 months when it comes to testing. Do we have to start all over and wait another 3 to 6 months and get retested. I am so tired and emotionally exhausted. Is the information the counselor gave him accurate or inaccurate?  What factors can delay sericonversion?

James, he tested utilizing an second generation oralquick test. Does the generation of test matter? My husband continues, to obsess about topics related to Hiv. He believe that having sex during the window period can in fact delay seroconversion. First, he believe's, that multiple exposure only restarts the window and each exposure doesn't  always lead to infection. His second view, once infected your viral load goes extremely high . Third, when your viral load and other hiv exposure exist . the virus itself can  cause your viral load to increase sporadically and cd4 count decrease dramatically . Making it harder for the body immune system gain response to the infection. My husband indeed had and exposure to someone confirmed hiv positive. Lastly, he believes, that everyone responds to hiv differently. He's documented all the test hes taken including;the time, date, testing site, and locations of the store he purchased the test. If his test is negative at six months and positive later he has proof he knew his own body and a lawsuit is in the pawn of his hand.

Just to confirm a 5 month test is 100% Conclusive, no further testing required.

Utter rubbish that sex can delay Seroconversion.

If he has had a 4 th Generation test at least 28 days post exposure that cane back negative then he does not have HIV.
