Post-test discussion for individuals who test HIV negative
The need for a repeat HIV test if still within the window period after a specific exposure should be discussed. Although fourth generation tests shorten the time from exposure to seroconversion a repeat test at three months is still recommended to definitively exclude HIV infection.

Number 4
There are NO tests marketed or sold that will give a conclusive negative test earlier than 3 months.
by the way
when i was getting test, i ask dr about window period
and he pulled out a book from the shell, and say
" i am not even supose to show you this" and open the book(most like it a report)
and show me evrey single test in (tabs) and the respected window period fror enyone
and i see i remeber was like this
third genartion test window period
19 to 22 days
fourt generation test 11 to 12 days
elisa first genration test 22 to 42 days
was just like that (i saw it)
and i ask him why cdc says (3 months)
he answer cdc say to anyone 3 months and 3 months and thats sit
but inside the cdc they know is less that that,,and he show me that papper.
and told me he coud be even in trouble for showing me that. the reason he did it ie because i was still concer about my 3 months result.
so he told me,,,,,,i was over pass the time. and i defintly need to let it go.
so i was like!!!!!!!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok is cool!
but teak u didt answer my question?
batching will not lead (false results)?
Yes. The UK has the same guidelines as the US. 3 month post exposure is conclusive. At 3 months any test is conclusive.
