Those are not symptoms of HIV, nor would symptoms of HIV last that long. You're allowing your anxiety to attribute everything to HIV.
I have swollowing and bit pain in throat starting from 2nd week...ulcer is wat I have seen first time..first I thought it is due to lot of stress and crying I hv done ..but ulcers cant b coz of it .....
ARS symptoms related to a new infection would not occur 8 weeks after the exposure, it's too late. A negative at 8 weeks will be a VERY good indication of your status, but we adhere to the official guidelines for a conclusive result, which is 3 months. Most docs will tell you that 8 weeks is definitive.
That would not be related to HIV at 8 weeks.
I know teak I hve done big mistake ..but what is done is done ....There is another thing now ..as you know my throat is having issue swollowing ..today I have pain and got an ulcer in mouth first time ..may be I have ulcers down and now they are coming up towards mouth...I have read innwiki that if u have ulcers after encounter ...u might hv hiv infection ...today 8 weeks completed ..I will test again ...any of plle who experinced same thing????
You should have thought about that before you elected to put yourself at risk by having unprotected sex.
I am trying to keep my anxiety and panic in control now ...but in between get panic attack ...the girl tells me I should go to a psychiatrist..nd damn I need one too.....but three months can be long for any one ....
What are you talking about?
Panic and anxiety is responsible for all your syptoms! And if u further put yourself into vigorious panic u will get vital organs in your body damage, especially your thyroid.
There isn't any pain with swollen lymph nodes in ARS.
ok ..I can feel my lymph node swollen in neck and steep pain in other lymph node area's(occasionally)armpit elbows groin .
I think my body fighting infection.Still have swollowing trouble.not much I am in 7th week.got tested after 32 days with 4th gen and came ok ...I dont know how to wait for 5 weeks more...I feel really bad pain in lymph nodes time to time....
That is an approved test.
I have read this and will retest ...and 4th gen test here are cheap its like 6-7 $ ..I dont know which test u said expensive ..they used cmia ab/ag method ..if this is diffrent ..?

In an adult, a positive HIV antibody test result means that the person is infected, a person with a negative or inconclusive result may be in the “window for 4 to 6 weeks but occasionally up to 3 months after HIV exposure. Persons at high risk who initially test negative should be retested 3 months after exposure to confirm results

The need for a repeat HIV test if still within the window period after a specific exposure should be discussed. Although fourth generation tests shorten the time from exposure to seroconversion a repeat test at three months is still recommended to definitively exclude HIV infection.
.
but as per what I read in expert forum at 30 days duo is conclusive or as per here is good indication where as simple ab test is at 60 days ..but I am feeling dizee somtimes and strange pain in knee this cannot be related?? ....just saying I was in great stress ..can all this be due to it ?? also my throat is bad for last 2_3 weeks ...what I guess that acidic reflux caused issue in my throat ...I dk ..I cant doagnose myself...
The test you took was the DUO test, but you only needed the cheaper antibody test. You'll get the same results, you just didn't need the antigen test.
but today is 32 nd day and this is standard test here ..I didnt ask for it...and what about symptoms??
Yes, but there was no need, a standard antibody would have been sufficient.
today I went for test waiting for result..m so nervous ...I have issue with throat .pain during swollowing and lot of pain in knees ..nvr had such kind of things ...also I think m getting on off fever ..my legs shaking I dont how to collect report ...test says hiv 1&2 antibody, screening also includes p24 antigen ....I asked lab guy if its 4th gen ..he didnt knew ???if this is 4th gen??
very true teak ....this is biggest mistake and paying for it ...
Had you used a condom you wouldn't be in this predicament that YOU'VE put yourself in for NO REASON.
thanks for replies from this I can understand to be on safer side we are taking 3 months as guidelines. What about my symptoms as you are working for this cause for a long time do u have seen such symptoms.my throat is swollen and I feel something is chocking it ...some time muscle pains ..the girl says she dont hve hiv and as I insisted she got tested after two days ....my life is like stuck at a point ..there should be some advancments now to get answers quickly..

Every country has their own guidelines. Some are universal others are not or outdated eg 6 months for conclusive testing.
As for this particular site, the community is a forum where anyone can post info/give advice . As far as I know, there are no HIV medical experts/doctors in this community and thus, official guidelines are advised.
Whereas in the expert forum, being rather self explanatory, the advice being given is from medically trained experts who have a lot of clinical experience with HIV.
I understand your confusion.
