Broken condom during anal sex

Dear all, 5 weeks ago I had anal sex with a transsexual and it happened that the condom broke during the intercourse and I ejaculated inside his/her. The intercourse did not last more than 10 minutes and I guess I might have had about 3-5 min of unprotected sex. This transsexual is from Malaysia and moved to the UK 8 months ago, he/she resulted HIV negative before moving here and always used condoms except one time when he/she had unprotected sex with a white 24yr old guy from London. He/she was the top and he/she is circumcised. I'm circumcised too and for what I've read in this forum the risk of being infected is reduced. I'm waiting for a home kit (Emirates) to be used to check my blood and since that intercourse I haven't experienced any symptoms at all. I'm aware that only a test can reveal whether or not I've been infected but I'd like to know how many chances, from a statistical point of view, I might have to get HIV infected after a single high risk sexual intercourse.

Thank you very much to everyone.

Thanks for replying Mike, I'll test as soon as I receive the home kit and then again at 12weeks after the exposure.

Knight75,

1. Anal sex certainly puts you in to risk of transmission if your partner was infected at the first place and you were inside your partner with out protection.

2. If you're aware that your partner has been consistently using protection and apparently negative, I don't see a valid reason for you to freak out

3. For your peace of mind, you could go ahead and get tested with a IV gen Anti body test at the 6th week from the time of your exposure for an indicative result and finally back it up with another test at the 12th week (P.S - a 6 week negative changing ahead is very unlikely.

Good luck
Mike
