That was one case in millions and happened over 20 years ago. With better more modern testing avaliable this is a thing of the past. They are 2 different viruses and have nothing to do with eachother.Stop reading outdated information.
so does the cdc of usa really suggest that, or it is a very old suggestion?
The window period is 12 weeks post-exposure and that's it.You never had a risk so this doesn't concern you.
That's a load of rubbish and he is NO expert if he suggested that.If this was the case then it would be a proven fact,it's not because it doesn't happen.I sugeest you read my journal on this subject.
an expert from a famous hospital in Beijing said in his blog that "hcv delays the hiv window period,so people need to test after One Year!" and he also said that's what the cdc of USAsuggest. is it true?
I just checked, an expert from a famous hospital in Beijing said hcv can delay the window period,so people need to test hiv after One Year!? And He also said that "hcv delays the hiv window period,so people need to test after One Year" this piece of advice was from The cdc of USA? is it true?
You don't have a window period, you had protected sex.
So how long is the window period for the normal cases, as I did the HIV 1&2 Antibody after 40 days and it came neg.
do I have to worry ?
The only ones that may have a longer window period are people on chemo, those taking antirejection drugs from an organ transplant and those that are long term chronic IV drug abusers.
thanks very much, it's quite annoying with this. so I guess it does not right?
I consulted an expert in sydney about this matter and the answer is no.It never has, and the case of that nurse in America was a beat up.She had other exposures not just the needle stick injury.Nothing delays the Hiv window period other then maybe chemotherapy patients or transplant patients and even those group of people are debatable. You don't need to worry about delayed seroconversion.
