I took an oraquick test the first time
Second time I took a clearview test along with a pcr dna test? They drew blood and called me 2 weeks later with a negative result.
3rd time it was just oraqiick finger prick.
So did my tests cover all strains?
Bottom line--a rapid test covers all strains of HIV.The OP has a conclusive, negative result.
I know that but the rapid test looks for both HIV1 & 2
N,O and P are groups to HIV1 not HIV2.
He wrote rapid test for HIV1--I don't know what he's going on about.
Rapid tests are ELIZA tests and that is what was used to delect groups N and P.
It depends which test he had.If he had HIV1 & 2 it does.
Don't know where you received your education in HIV but a rapid test can detect groups N,O and P.
Rapid HIV 1 test does not detect certain rare types like O or N.
Yes it does cover all strains & there was no need to test beyond 3 months, anyway the good news is you don't have HIV.A big WOOHOO is in order.
You do not have an HIV concern. You have tested conclusively negative.
