need reassurance?

Hi,
I had unprotected gay sex about a year ago (receptive). I tested negative at 3 months, 6 months and finally a year after. I recently heard on the news that there are multiple strains of hiv. Does the rapid test cover all these strains?
Am I in the clear?
Thanks so much!

I took an oraquick test the first time
Second time I took a clearview test along with a pcr dna test? They drew blood and called me 2 weeks later with a negative result.
3rd time it was just oraqiick finger prick.
So did my tests cover all strains?

Rapid tests are ELIZA tests and that is what was used to delect groups N and P.

Don't know where you received your education in HIV but a rapid test can detect groups N,O and P.

Rapid HIV 1 test does not detect certain rare types like O or N.
