A health care setting is always more optimal. For one, you can have someone explain testing and the results, and the biggest advantage is in the case of someone who tests +...the info can be delivered properly, and the person can be educated as to what to do next.
Plus, there are more variables with a home access testing situation versus in a health care setting.
Unprotected vaginal, there are more advantages?
Did you even have a risk that would warrant testing? Most people thinnk they do when they actually had no risk.
If you DID have a risk (which would be unprotected vaginal or anal sex, or sharing IV drugs)...then a test at 3 months will be conclusive. I personally recommend testing in a clinic versus home testing, there are more advantages.
A home access test will be conclusive at 3 months...don't worry yourself about the details.
Then why is there such a focus on test generation if it doesn't matter at 3months?. Either way does anyone have info on home access?
As long as the test is done over the window period (at or after 3 months), it is conclusive, irrespective of what generation the test is.
