I also had to quit wearing polyester because it irritated my skin too much.

Dang, girl! No polyester - and probably no Lonestar too. I hope ya didn't have to give up your chew, 'else you probably wouldn't know you was still from Texas!

You can go to google images and run a search on spider vein, see if yours resembles one of those pics and read about it.  There's alot of things that can be attributed to HepC.  Did you have the varicose veins before tx or only after you started tx?  Spider angioma is said to be related to a liver gone bad, so yes that is from HepC.  I suggest you ask your doctor and also check out spider nevi.  The tenderness around your waist, seems to be in the area of your kidneys and could be a sx of the tx meds.    good luck

Hi.  Sounds like you are inthe final grueling weeks. I don't knwo the answers about the purpura.  I have some varicose veins too and didn't see andy change during treatment.  I am not sure if you are saying there was a change or you have always had blots of purple --however, you should probably ask your primary care doctor about them.

I do think I know what you are saying about your back though.  During treatment my back was highly sensitive, especially around the neck.  I had to cut out all the tags in my clothes because of the iritation.  I also had to quit wearing polyester because it irritated my skin too much.  I think this is all due to the Ribavirin and it will go away after treatment.

Good luck on your final 10.  How long have you been clear?
