Do I have herpes? Herpes testing timeframe...

I went to a massage parlor in late September 2018 and received a handjob. I felt some symptoms like itching (not sure if it was just anxiety that I started to feel this) and got a fever/ sore throat after a week when I went. I have not gotten any testing since that encounter nor had any encounter with anyone. How accurate would the test be for Herpes be if I test right now. Also am I at risk of any std.

*I don't know if the massage lady had any cuts in her hands

This is never a risk for STDs. I can't say what your fever/sore throat was from, but it wasn't an STD if all you did was a handjob.

Here are some posts from our experts (when we had them) that may help -

https://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV---Prevention/Vaginal-fluid-on-hand-touched-inside-of-condom-and-head-of-penis/show/1119533 - read this thread thoroughly. There is an excellent explanation about why certain activities are not risks, and why others are.

Your herpes test would be accurate now, but you never had any risk from this encounter, and don't need to test if this is your only concern.
