Hello,
According to the American Stroke Association, warning signs of stroke include:
sudden numbness or weakness of the face/arm/leg/one side of the body
sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
sudden, severe headache with no known cause.
As you noticed, these symptoms occur suddenly. If you experience any of these, immediate medical attention is important. Take care and I hope this helps.
Hey,
Cheers for the response, I'll take your advice.
I'm pretty glad it doesn't sound too serious and can be treated, I was worried it might be some kind of tumour, mental disease or signs of a stroke (with the face thing).
Many thanks.
Hi,
How are you? If there was no previous trauma to your head and neck, and your history of migraines, this could be one type which is complex migraine. This type usually presents with diplopia or loss of sensation, cold feet and hands, weakness and ataxia, congested nose and dull aching pain in the head. Like any migraine, it can be treated with abortive medicines. Try to avoid eating fatty foods, have frequent breaks, and determine the possible triggers to prevent recurrences. If it persists, have this checked by your doctor for proper management and to rule out neurological issues as well. Take care and do keep us posted.
