Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Vision symptoms like what you experience may indeed be a part of the aura preceding a migraine headache. This may be managed by rest, ice packs, prescription medications, and avoidance of the triggers. To rule out eye disorders, you may also benefit from seeing an eye doctor. Take care and do keep us posted.
The zig zag lines in your eye is called an aura. This is usually followed by a migraine headache. In my case it is always a one-sided headache. I am now aged 72 and for the first time since having these headaches, I experience the aura without the migraine headache following.
Sounds like a possible migraine aura. I suggest you discus this with your doctor to determine if that could be the cause.
Feel better.
