39 year old has memory lapse

I am 39 years old and today I had a very weird experience. It started with getting little sleep and waking up with left side stomach pain. I then began to get a really bad headache while at work. The day was fairly easy and was beginning my time to enter payments when all of sudden I forgot what day it was and swore that it was not May and then not even remembering what I was doing even though there are checks all over my desk. It took about 10 minutes and the BC powder I had taken for the headache before I finally grasped that something wrong had just happened. I feel fine now but am wondering what happened to me and was it a random event or is this something I should watch out for. Do you have any answers for me?

Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good to know that there are no family or personal history of trauma or other diseases. At this point, you could observe for any recurrences or have a journal to write down any new episode or symptom. This would be very helpful if you go for a check-up with your doctor. Take care and best regards.

Thank you for responding. To answer your questions, no I am not on any medication, I have had no head trauma, am pretty healthy and do do not have high blood pressure. There is no family history of mental issues or even Alzheimer.

Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Memory lapse can be associated with aging, high blood pressure, medication side effect, and other neurological conditions. If this recurs, you can have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
