7 months non stop headache after a bad fall

My husband 44 years old and healthy but over weight has had a bad headache every day non stop for 7 months now. It all started when he fell into a 10 foot empty swimming pool. He didnt hit or hurt his head or neck area but took the impact on his hip area which only briused him Since that day he has had a non stop headache on the right side near temple area. He has had a set of xrays, 2 mri's and has seen a neurosurgeon (due to a shunt he had placed wen he was 20 but it hasnt worked in over 15 years and drs say everything looks great so its not from the shunt) hes seen a neurologist that has sceduled him for an eeg tomorrow. So far all they keep doing is giving him different pills to try since all tests have come back normal. He is currently taking 3 gabapentin 100mg at bedtime and ibuprofen 800mg 2-3 times a day. A couple of months ago is when he started to take the gabapentin and it did seem to start working little by little they faded till he actually went 5 days with no headache untill the neurologist told him to take indomethacin 25 mg 3 times a day them boom the headaches came back worse. He did stop the ibuprofens when taking this. After a few days he stopped taking them because we felt it brought back the headaches. Noone has checked his neck at all could it be a neck issue i was told maybe its his c1. Any ideas would be great, We've tried verything it seems and have seen 4 drs and noone has any ideas and are just testing out different pills. Please help.

Hi,
Please go for an MRI spine along with the EEG . It could be related to the spine because spine has taken the impact of the fall . Do keep us posted after you get the results .Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
