Constant Head Pain

I suffer from chronic migraines and I  have learned to deal with them but throughout the last 4 years I have suffered from random very sharp and painful pains in my head. They affect my balance, vision and on occasion my speech. I have noticed that the position of my head and neck may be connected to the onset of these pains. Can someone please give me some suggestions as to whats going on????

If you experience neck or shoulder stiffness, this can contribute to migraines.  I learned physical therapy exercises that I do on myself almost every day to help with my migraines.  Although in my case, it also  takes other treatments to control my previous 24/7 severe migraines.

I'm sorry you are having bad pain :(Have you gone to see a chiropractor or massage therapist? I go to Massage therapy and it does help me sometimes...as I have been told with chronic migraines...we carry a lot of tension in our neck etc... I cannot tell you what they are, but they seem to resemble migraines I get on occasion too. I have been on all sorts of meds...Topamax, Amitriptlyne, Nadalol and now I am off all those & my new neurologist has started me on Gabapentin...so we'll see?

Good luck & keep us posted
