Head ache

I'm a 54 yr old male who has severe sinus trouble and mild sleep apnea, using a C-Pap machine for sleep. For about the last 10 days I have had sharp pain in my left temple that goes above my left ear as well and my temple is very tender. I'm having sinus drainage on that side as well

Good answer from selmaS.  Your headaches may or may not be related to your sinuses.  Antibiotics should be your first option if you have a sinus infection which would be shown by a CT scan.  And if the antibiotics don't  work, you should either be on it longer or try another antibiotic.  But if any ENT doctor suggests surgery, I would get second opinions.

I was told that surgery might help my migraines, which later I was told by my pulmonologist, 2 neurologists and another ENT doctor that migraines as bad as mine couldn't possibly be caused by my sinus infection.

And my husband was told to get surgery to help his bad sinus problem.  He was told it would put him out of work for a month.  I told him, "remember what happened to me?"  He got a second opinion from a better medical facility (a research, medical school, university) and was given a prescription nasal medicine which cleared up his sinuses completely.
