i just want to check what happening with me

Im an 22 year old boy and about two weeks ago I started getting this really dull pain on the left hand side of my head just above my left ear. Almost instantly I feared the worst. It stayed for a few days so went to the doctor and he told me to take some headache tablets and if its no better in a few days go back. The pain stayed for a few days but went away. Then it came back about 3 days ago but not just in the left hand side but at the back of my head as well. Im really worried that it could be something. I'm also getting neck ache and am scared of going to the hospital for a scan in case it turns out to be a tumor. is this likely?

First do not fear the worst, the only thing that is going to do is stress you out and give you headaches. 2nd do not be afraid of going to get a scan,  MRI or other wise. Pain moving moving around your head (left ear to back) does not sound like a tumor to me. It sounds like migraines or something along them lines. If the headaches keep coming back on a regular basis go talk to your doctor.
