Living in Fear and Anxiety in relation to your next Migraine?

Hello All,

How wonderful it is to have found this site.  My question relates to any techniques that can be used to 'prevent the daily anxiety and fear' of my headache turning into a full blown migraine.

I am to the point where I am getting really anxious all the time just waiting for the horrendous pain of the next Migraine, I am not even sure that I am not contributing to the whole 'event' with the awful fear of the pain.

To elaborate, my last 3 Migraines have been trips to the Hospital and IV or injection required, then severe, debilitating brain fog for 3 days after, I am having so much time away from work, it is truly impacting on every aspect of my life.

How are you? I do understand what you feel. What abortive and preventive medicine are you taking right now? Try to control your fear and anxiety since this can also be possible triggers for migraine. Biofeedback therapy have been effective to a lot of migraine sufferers. You can discuss this with your doctor and see if it can help. Take care and best regards.

I know how you feel.I am an anxiety ridden ocd having migraine sufferring disaster. Mine mimic stroke and are Brutal!!!! I have been in the ER 3 times in the past year because of them.I also get major aura with out actual headaches too... I would much rather deal with just pain than have to deal with the aura.

hello, i no exactly what u mean! i often end up in hospital on an IV morphine drip as its the only thing helps with the pain!! ive suffered 20yrs & tried every medication going 2 which nothing works!! im unable 2 work because of my migraines & recieve disability living allowance, and ur exactly right when u said a migraineur only no,s what it feels like & what pain we go through!!!
