headaches everday for years

I am 29 years old, diagnosed with Asthma and allergies.  I have a headache almost every day.  I know that sinus and allergies are often the cause to some of me headaches and I can usually tell the difference between a sinus headache and a "normal headache".  I have been taking over the counter meds for headaches ever since I can remember.  I am immune to Tylenol I think because of it.  I have to take Excederin to make most of my headaches go away and Sudafed Sinus and allergy for the sinus headaches.  But here is my question:  Obviously I sould not have that many headaches, right?  I have not noticed any foods that cause it, I drink distilled or purified water 95% of the time, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol but maybe once or twice a month.  I have talked to a doctor but they usually just tell me that headaches are stress related.  I don't think I am any more stressed than the average person.  I have thought maybe I was dehydrated but even when I drink more I still get headaches.  Any help would be great!

"Normal" Headaches for me consist of a feeling of pressure in the top part of my head.  Sometimes I can feel it behind the eyes.  They gradually build during the day (when they occur) and just keep getting worse until I take something.  I don't think I would call my headaches Migraines.  I had had those but not very often, maybe once or twice a year.
On a pain scale I would say that most of my headache just start at one and just keep building until I take something.  If I wait all day I would say they become a ten or eleven!

My sinus headaches don't really have the symptoms you listed.  My face doesn't hurt nor do I feel pressure in the sinus area.  What I think is a sinus headache is a headache that makes me feel dizzy or sick to my stomach.  And they won't go away with Excederin or anything else except Sudafed Sinus.

I know this sounds weird but over the years I have just begun the habit of shaking my head just a little after I've been up for about 4 hours and if it hurts (like I feel alot of pressure and discomfort) I know most times that I will begin to have a headache in a few hours.

Thanks for your help and any advice you can give me!

These pranayam breathing exercises will get rid of your headache and help with the asthma and allergies. You will notice results in days.It is the timing and duration of the breathing which really really gets the body to fight the health problem.Come back to report progress so others may benefit.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute.
Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for upto 20 minutes twice a day.(Max 60 min/day) Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

Anulom Vilom -  Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30  minutes twice a day(maximum 60 minutes in one day).
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep breaths into the lungs.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 15 times

Do it to benefit.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about your daily headaches. Can you describe the " normal" headache  you experience?  Headaches can be grouped to primary o secondary types. Primary headaches are not associated with any other diseases. This includes migraine headaches, tension headaches, and cluster headaches. Secondary headaches, on the other hand,  are caused by associated disease. The associated disease may be minor or serious and life threatening. Many people suffer from "mixed" headache disorders. There are types of headaches that may possibly be related to allergic disease  such as sinus headaches, migraines and cluster headaches.Sinus headache pain is localized over the affected sinus, causing facial pain rather than a headache.Treatment of the underlying allergic cause of sinus pain can result in long-term relief. Migraines tend to be throbbing, usually one-sided headaches, that often are aggravated by some factors and are frequently accompanied by nausea. Avoidance of triggers in migraine help prevent these attacks of headache. You can write the occurrences of headaches in a notebook and the circumstances that could have caused your headache to determine if there is a pattern. You can always follow-up with your doctor and have some diagnostic tests such as CT scan to rule out other pathologies related to the secondary type. I hope this helps. Take care and keep us posted.
