I used to have cluster migraines many times over a month /year after year.With sickness visual aura and had to stay in a darkroom for many hours waiting for it to pass and dealing with the banging head.I have taken many post migraine relief tablets and always had to suffer repeat after repeat attacks.It was suggested "Dont eat this and dont eat that"but still i suffered.I have done and tried every thing until in desperation I looked into the process of how a migraine begins ,what it does and what causes all the effects felt with a migraine.

I HAVE FOUND A CURE.

This has worked for me now for 13 Years and I haven't had one since--

I found that the visual Aura is caused by the blood platelets clumping together in the brain and that when they release this causes the thumping head,so i needed something to stop the blood platelets clumping together,so this would stop the process.

After studying some of the over the counter medicines,I realised that there is such a product that might work and would cost me on average 1 pence per day.

I started by taking 150mg per day after my Breakfast for 1 x week only
Then I started taking 75mg every day and still do.

MY CURE IS THE SIMPLE ASPIRIN.(SOLUBLE)

I have passed on my discovery to many people over the years and they have all been delighted to be free from the Migraine curse.

Try it if you want.Thanks-Ray-England---------PS,I can eat chocolate now-Yipee

Hi,
How are you? Migraine headaches are usually caused by a trigger.It would help if you identify the possible triggers by having a headache or migraine journal. Avoiding the triggers, rest and medications ( both abortive and preventive ones) may help provide relief. Blood work-up like rumpled mentioned may help rule out hormone issues. Take care and do keep us posted.

I'm just passing along some information! I didn't read the book or have any financial gains from this just trying to help!

29.5 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches, I certainly don’t have to tell you how painful and debilitating they can be…or how helpless they can make you feel. But now researchers from Ohio State University have found a surprisingly effective approach to managing them.
And the best news? It’s not a new drug!

The study, published in the journal Annals of Behavioral Medicine, was based on data gathered from participants in the US Treatment of Severe Migraine Trial. Migraine sufferers who participated in a simple behavioral-management program saw a dramatic increase in their confidence in their ability to self-manage their migraines.

Participants who took part in four sessions where they learned skills for managing their headaches reported a significant increase in their belief that migraines could be influenced by their own behavior. In other words, they were able to conquer that helpless feeling that is all too familiar to those of us that suffer from migraines.

According to headache expert Robert Milne, M.D., although about 18% of women and 6% of men in the United States suffer from migraines—and they account for approximately 64 million days of lost productivity every year—the pain they produce remains a mystery to most doctors and researchers.

But Dr. Milne says there are actually a lot of things you can do to manage and even eliminate your headaches. According to him you must first identify your specific type of headache and its triggers and then you can start taking control of the pain.

In his book “An Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Headaches” he walks you through specific proven alternative and natural therapies—including self-help behavioral techniques like the ones used in the Migraine Trial study—for doing away with headaches of all kinds.

Dr. Milne also recommends vitamin therapy for migraine-headache prevention and relief including:

    * vitamin B2 – up to 400 mg daily
    * vitamin B3 – 50 to 250 mg (time-released) daily with a meal
    * vitamin C – 1,000 to 3,000 mg daily
    * vitamin E – 200 to 800 IU daily
    * magnesium – 300 to 400 mg daily
    * essential fatty acids – 3 to 4 mg of fish oil or evening-primrose oil daily

Craving salt can be a sign sign that your body wants it - and that means you may have an issue with your renin/aldosterone axis and that is in your adrenals. There can also be an issue with low cortisol - when my cortisol is low, I get splitting headaches. Again, that is adrenal issue. Sodium drops when cortisol is low.

I would go get some testing - and electrolytes too.
