symptoms of brain tumor? 17 years old scared

Well im 17 years old im 6'2  weigh 175lbs ive been playing soccer my whole life and started muay thai about 2 months ago. Ive always had headaches after soccer games and they arent always bad sometimes they are. I also find it hard to concentrate.  My personality has always been goofy and I have a short temper with people who are bothering me. My main concern is do I have a brain tumor my symptoms are as listed : fatigue, sharp pain behind my right eye that comes and goes within five seconds,  lack of concentration, headaches, drowsiness and I feel  tired alot more then I used to, naseau this just started, and lack of appetite. I also feel as if my personality may have changed  a couple months back. I broke up with my girlfriend we got back and I was unable to be patient with her. I talked with my general doctor and she told me that this is mosy likely just a migrane. I typically in my free time besides going to parties play video games on my computer such as during the weekdays. I will play from 12 pm - 3am with 15 min breaks every 2 hours. I think about all these symptoms constantly. Could this just be anxiety ? All the women on my moms side of the family such as her mother and her sisters have had history of migranes. My dad also gets cluster headaches.  Im very worried and scared. I also went to the gym and was lifting a weight I can handle but was having a sharp pain from my neck to my right eye for about 5 seconds long . Im very scared .. I talked to my doctor and she said they probably migranes but I dont know what to think of this

Yes, magnesium and CoQ10 may help your migraines.  I don't know where you got the stats that magnesium will help 85% to 90% of migraine sufferers.  If it were that easy, there wouldn't be so many people suffering from migraines.  BTW, I take both magnesium and CoQ10, as well as Vitamin B6, B12 and Folic Acid, but haven't noticed any relief from them.  I have received significant help from Botox, nerve block and trigger pt injections, as well as 3 daily medications, plus PT exercises.   I take the vitamins to cover all my bases.

I understand u r scared and there are many things that can cause HA's...low minerals or vitamins...but it seems it is with strain or while doing something physical u get the most pain....

See a Dr for testing...a neurologist*  as they can DX if it is a pinched nerve or something else.

If ur Dr will not refer u to a NL* find a new Dr....check if u even need a referral...but get to a Dr that will do testing....

Good Luck

The Connection Between Magnesium and Headaches...

"Magnesium deficiency is believed to be present in 50% to 60% of people who suffer from migraines. However, a good 85% to 90% of migraine sufferers can often find immediate relief once they start taking supplements."

Office Of Dietary Supplements - Magnesium...

"Early signs of magnesium deficiency include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and weakness. As magnesium deficiency worsens, numbness, tingling, muscle contractions and cramps, seizures (sudden changes in behaviors caused by excessive electrical activity in the brain), personality changes, abnormal heart rhythms, and coronary spasms can occur [1,3-4].

Severe magnesium deficiency can result in low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia). Magnesium deficiency is also associated with low levels of potassium in the blood (hypokalemia) [1,19-20]."

Yes, they probably are from migraines, but need to be treated.   Probably not from a brain tumor.  An MRI or CT scan would tell you for sure.  But it sounds like you may have some anxiety or depression which also needs treatment.  Why don't you start with some counseling.  Your school should have a counselor.  If that doesn't help, then go to your doctor and tell them, like you wrote above, about your feelings.  Medication may help you more with both the depression and the migraines with the same medication.
