whats wrong with me?

back in January i had my first seizure ever. after that night i began to have migraines so severe that i can perform daily chores. i get sick to my stomach sometimes from the pain. it happens everyday and lately i have been getting  extreme back and neck aches. I'm 19 almost 20 (next month) and i feel like an old lady. i had all these tests done, ekg(or was it eeg?) on my head, blood work for every thing, mri and mra, and they all came back normal. I'm not imagining this pain. it makes me curl up and cry 90% of the time just because it hurts that bad. please help me. i just want to know whats wrong and can i help it...

Hi,

With your condition we may be dealing with a seizure disorder or a migraine. It is important to note however that both conditions may be present. A 24 hour EEG or ambulatory EEG monitoring will be able to help delineate between a true seizure and migraines.

You may discuss this with your physician. Other forms therapy such as behavioral and cognitive therapy may be able to help. Physical therapy and acupuncture may be good adjuncts to medical therapy in your condition.

Hi,

Just a few clarifications:

How would you describe your "seizures"?

What events or activities have been associated with your seizures? Were you doing anything that could have triggered it?

Have you had headaches prior to the seizure?

Has any diagnosis been discussed with you given that your tests came back normal?

Have you had your cardiac function evaluated and were any test for blood clotting factors done?

I understand this may be frustrating for you. With normal test results, including a normal EEG, one may start thinking of a migraine headache as a differential.Other factors to consider will be a spine disorder ( have you been assessed along this line?).

Are you currently taking any medications?

Do keep us posted with your answers.
