headache for 3 days

Hello , so about 3 years ago I started having bad headaches mainly in the temple area (the sides of my head). I would get them every day , so about 4 mmonths after it all started I went to the e.r and they did ct scans and it was all clear then I got referred to a neurologist and had a mri done and it was clear also, they just said they were tension headaches , so I left it at that., now 3 days ago I came down with a bad headache and I still have it today, tylenol wont help it , im  scared it could be a tumor or something in my head :/, if there was something wrong in my head wouldnt the ct scans and mri have showed it 3 yrs ago?

If the ER told you that it was fine, then I would believe them.  If you want, you can also request a copy of the report, although your doctor probably has a copy that you can get from him/her as well for free to put your mind at ease.

I believe the pressure in your temples is likely due to tension.  Try and relax now that you know the test was normal.  I mentioned above some relaxation techniques that you can try, or watch TV...what ever makes you relaxed.

Most likely something like this would have been picked up in the CT scan, but if you are concerned you should contact your doctor.  It sounds like you are still anxious about this?  Why do you think this is?  Is there something else going on that I can help you with?  The best thing for your headaches now besides the advise given to you by us and your doctor is to rest, and stress and anxiety will be counter-productive.  Try and relax, even if you have to use some relaxation techniques like listening to music, watching TV or reading a book, meditating, a warm shower, a nice massage (hot stone ones are great!), etc.

If you are concerned about something we haven't discussed, let me know so I can help you.
