Broken toe pain, should I see a doctor?

Yesterday while walking thru the house I kicked the vacuum cleaner with my pinky toe. My pinky toe was sticking out sideways.   I immediately pushed it back into place. The pain is excruciating today with and without weight on it and it is severely bruised along the top of my foot and in between my pinky toe and 4th toe.  I tried taping toes together but the pain increased. I know there isn't alot that can be done for a broken toe but I can't handle the pain. Looking for suggestions.
