Welcome to the site, dtw1398. I'm sorry to hear about what is going on with your son. Having said that, I don't understand what your question is. Can you tell me what your question is so maybe I can answer it for you?
I was wondering if anyone knows what that can be caused by?
Hello again, I'm not sure anyone can tell you what the problem is; only a doctor can do that. It sounds like your son has Fatty Liver Disease along with an enlarged spleen which could be causing him abdominal pain. Has he seen a pediatric cardiologist for his chest pain? True heart related chest pain is very rare in children as the cause is a lack of bloodflow to the heart muscle which is a problem found in adults who have Coronary Artery Disease. Sometimes children who suffer from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy which is a disease of the heart muscle itself, can also have true chest pains. Most teens have muscle, cartiledge or ligament issues as the cause. Hope this helps.
I found out that my son has Mono. Thanks for all the comments.
