Really concerned and scared

Hi. I have been experiencing some concerning health problems and am a little too scared to go to the doctors for test. For 2 months now I have been suffering from migrains, pounding and ringing in my ears, dizziness, and every time I blink it's like I see stars. All this happens every day but some times I also feel nausea and fatigue. I know that I cannot be diagnosed from this post however I would like a little bit of insight. I don't know alot medically and I just want to make sure that my doctor is sending me for test that I should be having and not leaving any out. I will take any help and advice at this point. Thanks.

Do you happen to drink any diet soda or eat any foods that contain artificial forms of sugar? I know of several people who've similar reactions to artificial sweeteners.

Thanks for your post. It is very helpful. It's all those details that I was wanting to hear. I don't want to do too much looking on the internet because sometimes that just makes everything seem worse than it is. I am waiting for my doctor to get back from holidays so I can go see her. I think i'm just hoping for maybe high/low blood pressure due to stress. I'm 28yrs old and have 4 young children.

First of all, let me say, l am so sorry for your pain. Migraines, yuck!!! All the symptoms you are describing I actually have, because of migraine headaches. Has the doctor actually tried to treat the headaches with migraine meds yet? Topamax is one of the many varied drugs given specifically for migraines but I take Neurontin because my stem from nerve pain. If he has ruled out just migraines then he should have your blood pressure monitored to make sure it's not going too high or too low then eyes, ears and sinuses checked. If your vision is off that can generate headaches which can trigger everything else. Ear infections (and my child's pediatrician said you can have problems with ears without pain in them) can cause varied symptoms like that also, as can sinus problems. I would start with those things first, as that is the easiest. Then I would have him check your blood sugar because that can affect a lot of things as well, ie hypoglycemia or diabetes. Then lastly, I would check your veins and heart to make sure you have nothing going on there. And mostly, try not to worry because usually it is nothing serious though it certainly doesn't seem like it when you are in pain. I hope you can get some resolution and you feel better soon.
