Can you help me? Reoccuring urethritis

Hey Doc.. I have a problem.  I live in North america originally but have  been in asia for the last 4 months.  I had unprotected sex about 2 and a half months ago.  Soon after, I started getting a clear discharge during the day.  White in the morning.  The doc said it's urethritis and gave me antibiotics.  The symptoms subsided but maybe 2 weeks later i got an infection again.. I was given antibiotics.. then came back.. urine test showed i was cleared.. every 2 weeks i seem to get reinfected.. for the last month i have not been sexually active at all.. i have a white discharge in the morning.. i am not sure how i'm getting this.. i do work in a strenuous job that is long hours.. can you provide insight?

The doc told me that was happened is that bacteria has colonized high up my urethra.. when i drink or sleep late I promote an accute infection to occur.  So i told him i want to rid of this thing for all.. So he recommended i take antibiotics over a two month period.. I hope it works.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Since you have a history of unprotected sex and discharge too you should get a complete STD panel done. What you also need is a urine culture and sensitivity test done. You can give it for culture and sensitivity in a sterile bottle. This will tell you what organism is causing the infection and what antibiotic will kill it permanently.
You need a comprehensive investigation taking all these points in consideration. Please discuss this with your doctor and get yourself investigated accordingly. Do keep me posted. Take care!
