cancer, cyst, or epiditimytus????

hi I'm a 16 year old and I have a lump on my right testicle. It is right at the end of my epiditymus so I don't know if it is a cyst on my testicle or epiditymus or its cancer. I went to the family doctor and the
doctor said it was epiditimytus and the lump was nothing to worry about but I still am not sure. I feel pain for about 3 days every 3 months. What could this be?

I posting this as I hope anyone who visits will find this useful.

I hope you and everyone posting are still in relative good health as I still am.  I have been having the problems you've been having for over 30 years. Mine is NOT cancer. I have recently been in even more chronic pain in my testicular area for the past three years. I told my doctor(s) in passing and specifically 2 years ago in addition to 21 years ago through unrelated hospital visits and conversation etc. I felt like a pervert, and to tell you the truth even now the Doctors make you feel ashamed that you even bring it up because they have to touch you "down there;" because like I said 2 years ago I specially said to the Doctor I am in constant pain ALL the time now and that was pretty much the end of it again,  There are many times it interfered with other activities, like hiking, biking or even going to a movie. I tend to be long winded...but NO ONE has ever accused me of NOT being thorough but I am not ambitious enough to drive the thought home. This sounds very similar to what you have . I even told the Doctor is there a way I can just get them removed? I felt he was going to have me put in a padded room. I don't wish to have more children, so I'm NOT sterile because of it. If anything the problem I have has made me NEED to masturbate, have sex every 3 days even when I didn't want to. Made my ex-wife think I was a sex maniac. I know the repercussions of having them removed would be, daily testosterone medication, weight gain probably, loss in sex drive etc. But I'm turning 50 this summer and I don't want to keep going on like this. I am just as, pardon the expression, horny as I have ever been if not more my libido is extremely high and has NEVER diminished, NEVER. So, that's another thing you don't have to worry about.and don't be afraid of that happening either. Not even close to having a ED (erectile dysfunction) problem either. If you have this problem in the prolonged future rest assured there is a lot you don't have to worry about; Cancer, ED, loss of libido, sterility. But all things considered DO NOT STOP your visits to your Doctor and don't take my word as the final word or gospel I am just a regular guy.

As for the lump you feel, yep I got them too but at least I found out what that was 30 plus years ago anyway. And in the 30 plus years in hindsight it hasn't been. I would describe them (left testicle and right testicle) as just being water filled nodules of lymph nodes; totally not cancerous. Water is present everywhere in your body and just like your immune system water can go to where it's needed; not a much but just enough.

You have to assert yourself and tell your various caregivers YOU WANT RESULTS. Here's are a couple of site's I just found and has been very informative and I am not done reading all the material posted on it. http://www.medcyclopaedia.com/library/radiology/chapter25/25_3.aspx?s=orchitis&mode=1&syn=&scope copy and paste in your browser address bar and navigate around the site. Type in epididimitus in the search field. Also, http://medlineplus.gov/  be sure your spelling is correct as I found it won't correct of use fuzzy logic to find the subject Material. This is a very short version btw.

I hope this information will really bring a lot of people, mothers fathers sisters and brothers, both male and their partners some level of relief. and calm. The information I am giving is well intended and I hope non-judgmental. Again, just remember this information is NO substitute to regular and perhaps several varying MD's, and specializing doctor(s) visits and INSIST (humbly) IN SOME WAY YOU WANT RESULTS EVEN IT JUST MEANS ANSWERING YOUR CONCERNS. I'm finding out very fast that Doctors are very stupid too. They just look brilliant because they dazzle you with a lot of hot air! I went to school with them you went to school with them and believe me most of them don't even know how to correctly stop the LCD clocks from blinking "!2:00!"

i dont know for sure from what ive heard and im no doctor a lump on the testicle itself could be cancer or could be a tumor or could just be a lump or cyst that is not harmful like i said i to had epiditimytus but i never had a lump on my testicle i however had a small pea shape sized ball above the testicle not on it it was in my epidimal tubes and the doctor told me it was nothing to worry about that it was a collection of sperm that sometimes occurs and is nothing to be worried about as long as its not painful so once again im no doctor you should ask your doc if he thinks you need to have a ultra sound and that will determine what the lump eventhough you pretty young to have testicular cancer so thats probably why he isnt stressing so much your probably ok but let him determine that good luck

thanks for your reply but the doctor said it was very minor and he said he gave the urologist the blood and urine samples and the urologist said it was fine. And the lump was there at least a few months before the pain. Are you almost sure its not cancer. I will go to the doctor I just wanna know your opinion. Also I have sharp pain in my lower right ribcage but I don't think its related. That pain comes and goes and just developed yesterday

you should go back to your family doctor and tell him that you are concerned and you want to see a uroligist he can refer you did he give you antibiotics when you first were diagnosed with epiditimytus because ive had that before and that is a infection not a lump  to my knowledge i would suggest you go back to your doctor.
