Kidney Stone Stuck In Urethra? (Female)

I am a 20 year old female. I went to the ER on May 16 with horrible side pain. They thought it was appendicitis, so they had me drink contrast and had a CT scan done. The scan showed a 5mm blockage in my ureter, which they assumed to be a kidney stone. They gave me 4 different Rxs and sent me on my way. Since then, I've had an ultra sound and an XRay done which both show no sign of a kidney stone. However I've still had pain that came and went from my side, down lower, and now feels like it's right at the bottom of my urethra. It has been this way for the past few days and just will not pass. I drink more water than I think my body can handle, and still nothing. I went to a Urologist, who should have his license revoked, who told me that I had blood in my urine, but couldn't see anything so he was confused and sent me on my way. I'm at a loss because I've been taking these dilating pills which hasn't seemed to help. I'm in so much pain, I can't sit down, I can't walk, I feel like a penguin wabbling everywhere and I just want some answers. Please help!

I'm having the same problem, but my urethra is swollen and very sensitive. Don't have insurance at the moment, so any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm actually a freelance yoga instructor, believe it or not, and unfortunately it has not had a positive nor a negative effect on me. I was wondering the same thing, that maybe it was stuck on something, but it doesn't help that my doctors cannot see the stone. I don't believe they checked me for any infections which I'm surprised about considering a kidney stone can, very often, cause blockage. I guess I'm going to just have to wait and see what my doctor thinks within the next few weeks. Thank you for the advice!

I was told that they can't always see the stone on x-rays. Sometimes they are translucent.

Did he check for infection?  Are you on an antibiotic?

Passing a kidney stone is awful, but if it makes it through the urethra it normally stops causing pain for women I think.  Maybe the stone is sharp and is caught on something.  Maybe you could do yoga and dislodge it.  This is just a guess.  I'd try something like that, but I'd also like to know if I had an infection.

You can numb the pain with Azo-Standard, which is over the counter.  It's like Pyridium.  It turns your urine fluoroescent orange, which stains, so be careful.

Would also like to know if it's safe to have intercourse during the passing process.
