Dear Sir,
Please accept my apologies in advance for this rather bizarre question however I am very stressed about it and would very much appreciate your attention.
I have public hair extending up the shaft of my penis (approx 50%) which I think is abnormal, unsightly and unhygienic. I decided to undergo a course of IPL hair removal treatments in an attempt to solve the problem, however it appears to have increased the hair growth. I had 10 sessions of IPL whereby the laser was directed on the shaft of my penis.
I have now become extremely worried that I may have damaged my penis because I am observing the following things. Please note that I never really payed much attention to it prior to the IPL so I do not know if this is normal penis behaviour or not:
1) My penis appears to be thinner (less girth) following the IPL sessions.
2) After ejaculation, my penis deflates in an non-symmetrical way. I.e. the left and right side deflate differently resulting in a strange shaped penis for about 5 - 10 minutes. When its fully deflated, it goes back to a normal cylinder shape.
3) I have a minor ache in the right side of my penis, very close to the base where the penis is attached to the body and testicles. Sometime this ache also travels to my groin.
4) When my penis is flaccid, it "hangs" to the left.
5) When my penis is flaccid its shape changes a lot. Sometimes it is quite firm, small and thin. Other times it looks normal, hangs longer and is softer and more flexible.
6) I had some dry skin on the head (gland) of my penis (on the front, larger surface of the head). I applied Vaseline which appears to have resolved the dryness.
7) My penis skin appears to be sticky and oily. So for example, my penis slightly sticks to my testicles. I do not mean sticks in the sense that is cannot be separated with ease, it just appears much more "sticky" than the rest of my body.
I know the above might seem ridiculous but these are serious questions and I am extremely concerned.
I would be very grateful if a medical doctor, urologist or dermatologist could advise whether or not this is normal behaviour.
I would also be grateful if you could advise whether or not I have put my self at any future risk by making such a rash decision and undergoing IPL on my male genitals.
Other comments, I am not sure if are relevant. I am able to maintain an erection and in most instances have good control over when I ejaculate. I am a 31 year old male. I smoke but do not take any other drugs/medication.
Many thanks in advance for your kind attention.
