fungal balanitis

Two weeks ago I went to the doctor, the diagnosis is fungal balanitis. Next week, I will decide to do the circumcision in the hospital. May I ask, after surgery, fungal balanitis is automatically cured? In addition, I have 5 months pregnant wife, and now there is no physical adverse reaction for her, may I ask, my fungal balanitis have adverse effects on the fetus? Will not affect my sperm then affect the fetus before it? ? I do not want to my wife know it for some reasons, but I really love her and the baby. So I seek some helps in this forum,I hope somebody can guide me.

Hello,
Balanitis is an inflammation of the skin of the testicles due to fungal infection and causes a superficial skin infection.  It does not affect the spermatozoa and is not transmitted to the fetus. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

I mean if five months ago, I have this fungal infection in my foreskin of penis, is it possible my  spermatozoon can be affected, so this may have some adverse effects on the fetus.

Thanks a lot for your help.I am really anxious and desperate now these days.

Thanks a lot for your help. your answers comforted me a lot. But, in your opinion, is it possible that my spermatozoon has ever been altered by the fungal balanitis like deformity? is ther any risk for the baby and can cause the deformity of baby?

Hello,
Balanitis is an inflammation of the glans penis and is usually due to fungal infection. After circumcision the fungal balanitis heals on its own. Since your wife is 5 months pregnant it is less likely for the fungal infection to be transmitted to the fetus. However it is advisable to avoid any physical contact with her unless the circumcision occurs and you are completely healed.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
