Hello,
Fungal infection is not related to prostatitis. It has to be confirmed by getting a KOH examination of the skin scrapings and not a spit test. For cleaning the foreskin, retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials prescription.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Would a yeast infection cause prostatis? Also, I did the "spit" test this morning and noticed my salivia in a glass of water made strands which all but confirmed a yeast infection, I was prescribed nystatin which got rid of the rash, but what do o do about the moist foreskim?
Hello,
Such kind of pain in penis can be due to prostatitis. It is an inflammation of the prostate gland. From your symptoms, it can be due to chronic prostatitis. It is also possible that sitting on an inadequately padded surface or for prolonged periods of time is causing transient irritation to the prostate. This could be appearing as the pain in the penis.
You will need ultrasound, X-ray, and computerized tomography (CT) along with prostatic fluid examination along with prostate specific antigen.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
