Barb, glad to hear the boot might get the boot this upcoming week! Will cross fingers for the sturdy shoe not looking like an orthopedic horror.
It's lovely here today too, clear and very cold. That beats it being grey and socked in with a thermal inversion, like we had all last week. Husband took the dogs to the dog park, and his hands were cold despite gloves. I don't think it will be over 30 degrees for the next few days.
This morning I'm 1.4 lbs. down from last week, a nice thing given that I'd been putting on small dabs of weight in the last few weeks. I've been pretty alert about eating a smaller serving, then seeing if I'm full. Got that from the cat ... she came in fussing because she was hungry, though she eats every time she comes in, and she's in and out all day. I only had a little bit left of the kind of kibbles she eats, so I gave those to her (it might have been two tablespoons of food if that). She ate it, and instead of continuing to fuss, went away and took a nap. "It's empty so I must have had enough," was clearly in her mind. I thought that was pretty neat. Lots is written about "portion control" in dieting, but nobody writes about the fact that we take a lot of hunger cues from the state of our plate. If we've been eating, and now our plate is empty, we must be done.
Husband wants to go to brunch -- out we go in the pretty weather to have a nice one. Have a great week!
