There are some illnesses that cause weight loss, such as hyperthyroidism and diabetes. You should ask your doctor to run some simple blood tests to either confirm or rule these out.

Before starting any diet, I think it's important to consult your family doctor.
Your family doctor who knows your medical history best, is in the best
position to give you advice as to how to gain weight safely. Perhaps your
doctor will want you to have a blood test to see why you're losing weight.

Have you ask your doctor about this? Have you had lab work to rule in/out anything? If you don't have a thyroid or other disorder, you will have to bump up your daily caloric intake until you reach the goal weight. Good luck.
