Sore, swollen lump on inner thigh by bikini line
A few days ago I noticed a sore, reddish swollen lump on my left inner thigh, right along my bikini line. It has since gotten larger (about the size of a nickel, and more elongated now).
It only feels sore if I press on it or rub against it. It seems like a soft lump that moves around with the skin. Last night I applied a warm washcloth to it for about 30 minutes, which made it feel better.
Could this be a swollen lymph node, or maybe an ingrown hair? It is located in the area where I shave daily.
Any advice would be very appreciated!

So right now I'm insanely freaking out . I have on and off had a small line like lump along my bikini line . But this time it's giant and red . Definitely swollen and PAINFUL to the point that I cannot even put on pants without almost being on tears . The pain started the day before yeterday and since then I have had 3 hours of sleep. I can't walk without a limp , the pain is excruciating . I didn't go to bed until 6 in the morning yesterday because of the pain Its so bad it's bringing me to tears . Which is not common because I have a very high pain tolerance . The lump isn't like a bump it is like a line . About an inch long and pretty thick . A few days before I had used a different rasor for shaving on my bikini line , I'm insanely scared its something bad . I've tried the warm wet cloth thing but it makes it hurt more ! It randomly starts to burn or sting . And if touched it's highly sensitive .
So I womaned up and went to the DR. It turned out to be Nothing but a Hair, but from constant shaving down there i am not letting the hair grow long enough to pull out or to even break the skin, however i did take some of your advice and i took a super hot bath and i soaked for like 2 hours (no joke) and then the lump started bleeding and draining on its own. I was so happy. But the DR said Birth control can help the Follicles stay uncloged. How it is possible I have no clue, but when you shave your Bikini area OFTEN it leaves your pours open to build up and infection. they said that if you want to remove hair the best way is the PERMANT way, but who can really afford that method? I know i can't.
I am so releaved to know it is nothing! They said it can come back and many time in the same area, it can take up to a month to go away 100%.

i am only 16 and i currently have one of these swore lumps near my area. i have been really worried about it ever since i noticed it continues to get bigger. i really don't like going to the doctor plus we don't have enough money, and was afraid of what she might say, but i am SO glad i found this because it has made me feel less concerned and less of a freak. i am going to try out the Tend Skin and see if that helps. thank you so much for the advice however!

I first saw this about 6 months ago and i thought it was an ingrown hair (i always get those) but it was like more swollen and i would only see it after i shaved, so i decided to squeeze it, well lets say it went averywhere, and it was really sore for a few days, then wasnt really anything, it kind of felt like a gland, but there isnt one on the other side, so tossed that out
So right now, i havent shaved in a week and i feel it there but it doesnt hurt, it is litterally just like a little Gland, but everytime shave it bleeds and he turns purple like Bruising! idk i am making a Dr appointment and i am hopeing they can tell me something good, i really dont want this to be a bad issue!

i just got a bump seems like overnight but i dont really know i shaved about a week ago so o know it hadnt been there then but its small and shiny and it hurts its not exactly where my bikini line is a little bit further in i tried to pop it but am scared it might spread idk what it is and never had 1 b4........ im freakin out and cant afford to go to the doctors
