My sister had it done on her face and she did need to go back for a few sessions but the price reflected the sessions. Her hair began to come in more baby fine until she finished her sessions. She didnt continue to go but her face is still baby fine for the hair that is still there. My cousin did it down the line from the belly button to the top of her pubic area and hers was completely gone after her sessions finished. They dont put you to sleep and it doesnt hurt. they say it tingles, that it feels weird. I plan to get myself done too. I tend to get hair on my neck and it drives me crazy and i pluck them out and sometimes they come back as ingrowns and it's embarassing for me but I cant do anything about it until after the baby arrives.
I'm not going to try to sound like an expert on it, because I'm not, but I've done some research.
Laser hair removal is only effective for some people and just because you have it done doesn't mean you will permanently be hairless. In most cases, you have to go back for several sessions.
I think to get your legs done is like an hour or less.
Why does it work? I don't really think anyone knows. I guess someone just tried it once and found out that lasers stunted hair growth.
After you have it done I think your hair falls out over time. Not quite sure.
I don't think it's painful but I think it can make your skin sensitive to sun and such. I'm pretty sure I read an article about it once on WebMD. You may want to look it up.
I also had another question. I went to my doctor here recently about this, and she also reccomended lazer hair removal.
How does it work?
Is it a painful process?
Do they put you to sleep or anything?
I use razors but I also use a shaving cream first and it has to be a four blade razor for the best shave. you have to remember that you can keep using the same desposible razor over and over because it will become dull and give you nicks and cuts and bumps. I try to use as often as possible Nair because it lasts longer but razors are in my shower more often.
I use that venus razor.
Sometimes they work well and other times they don't.
I was thinking about changing razors though, but I don't know which ones work well.
Do you have any reccomendations?
I used to have that problem! I tried Veet and it worked fairly well for me, though. For you, I feel that laser hair removal would probably be the way to go... Expensive though.
Have you tried several different razors?
When I used to get really rough legs from shaving, I would use a buffing cream to soften them up, but this could cause irritation as well. Hard telling.
I dont know anything else but I think you might want to look into this: laser hair removal which will thin and eventually disapear all together.
