i allways had this problem, the trick is to use a good slimy soap or shave gel and do not shave upwards towards your head but shave sideways, for the left side start in the center and shave outwards, and the other way for the right side. :) dont shave against your grain

Just like the other said, it's most likely just a rash from shaving.  Use a gentle soap and it will clear up.  Next time you shave, if you decide to again, make sure you use a shaving cream, just like you do for legs, try to make sure it doesn't have dye's or scents though, as it could be a reaction to that as well.

It is simply a shaving rash... whenever I used to shave "down there" i got it, and it was so itchy and uncomfortable. So I don't shave anymore, I just trim.
As Samii89 said you will probably get it everytime you shave there, however, if you can deal with it, and wish to continue shaving, it should get easier with time :)

Ok, so I agree with what samii said partially.

Yes, we're given hair down there for a reason.  It's likely just a rash from the trauma to your hair follicles when shaving.  Beware, as your hair grows back in you'll also get bumps kind of like pimps..... these will be ingrown hair.

To be honest, I hate this process and so rather than dealing with a huge bush... I typically trim the front portion as short as possible and then shave between.  For me I feel 'cleaner' and like I have better hygiene (but it's a personal decision).

I know people who always shave down their completely bare (my sister does).   She had the same issues when starting.  However, after doing it for awhile they went away.  She no longer has any rash or even the bumps of ingrown hair.  I won't say 100% that you will be this way IF you wish to continue shaving.. but that's what I've been told.
