Always consult your doctor to see how your diet may affect your cholesterol.
I feel diet is important in all categories of health.
I am not real sure what the question is asking.
I agree, always consult your physician to ensure your body is healthy enough to add exercise, diet, etc. to your daily activities.
There are other factors to consider bad we know we do not get enough exercise and eat healthy. I replaced potatoe chips with granola bars. Seriously I felt better about myself when I made this change.
Your diet only affects 10% of your serum cholesterol levels, it's not mostly about diet.
You would have to ask your doctor are a nutritionist about the amounts of HDL and LDL n certain foods. Diet is a part of lowering cholesterol, but you will still have to monitor your intake of how much cholesterol is in the diet.
I don't believe that your goal levels for HDL and LDL would be any different due to your diet- you want to keep them in check just as much as anyone else. As with any diet, it's important to consult your doctor to make sure that the diet is enhancing your health with all other medical conditions considered.
