why don't the doc tell the truth about meds

i took arimedex, then femora and now have started tamoxifen.  I have severe joint and bone pain that the first doc said was't a side effect. I went to another doc(well known onocologist) and he said it is a  side effect of these medicines.  Now i am looking at the other questions about these meds and it makes me really angry that the other doc was telling me it was all in my head and so many people are experiencing the same thing. .

I'm curious as to what type of Dr. you saw first; the one that told you the side effects were not from the drug. Now about side effects; everyone doesn't experience the same side effects from any drug. Some actually experience very little in the way of adverse reactions. You never know until you have taken a particular drug. I was just wondering if the first Dr. was also an Oncologist.

yup, they are real side effects.

There are good and bad people in every profession. Be thankful you found someone to tell you the whole story :)
