Does fibrocystic changes cause the breast to have different textures? I have noticed I have a few areas that have a thicker, nodular, glanular feel..Is this normal in young women? the area was real tender before my period and now that my period ended the area is still there..The nurse practioner at my ob/gyn said my breast was very cystic and recommended vitamin e and evening primrose oil..should this resolve?

Dear renie:  fibrocystic breasts do have different textures.  Vitamin E or primrose oil may help - as will eliminating caffeine from you diet - although people with fibrocystic breasts tend to have fibrocystic breasts.
