Binge Drinking

i would like to quit drinking alcohol.I become irresponsible and spend money unnecesariliy.I have crushed my two cars in a space of two and half years while under the influence of alcohol. At times i engage in physical fights while under the influence of alcohol and caused grievous bodily harm.I fear the worst and would to stop now.I have tried in the past but i still drink when with friends.I spend on average R2500 a weekend on alohol as i tend to buy alcohol for those i will be with. My goal is to quit drinking alcohol and focus more on significant personal matters.

It sounds like you're lucky to still be in one peice.. .just keep in mind what you need to do and hold on to the desire to make a turn around.. if not for yourself do it for others around you. If you're as "wild" as you say when you get drunk, then it looks like others may be in harm as well as yourself.

Alcohol makes each individual react differently. Most of us, I would say, does stupid stuff when highly intoxicated.. I know I have. Try and find a support group in your area.. that's one choice.. you could also find a sponsor to help remind you often not to touch alcohol and to help you stay strong.
