hypothyroid symptoms

Many years ago I was diagnosed with Graves' disease with hyperthyroidism as a symptom.  My doctor treated with radioactive iodine.  I have been stable with my thyroid medication until the last few years.  In 2005 my TSH was .09 so my doctor reduced my dosage of synthroid.  In May 2010 I switched from synthroid to levothyroxine.  The past couple of months I have felt like I have hypothyroid symptoms.  The latest TSH assay was .49.  My doctor wants to decrease my dosage of levothyroxine.  I am concerned about the symptoms not matching the test results

Were there any other tests perfrormed on actual thyroid hormones (T3, T4)?

In the thyroid, hormones T4 and T3 are produced by the follicular cells and are regulated by TSH made in the anterior pituitary gland.

Because the effects of T4 in vivo are mediated via T3 (T4 is converted to T3 in target tissues; T3 is 3- to 5- fold more active than T4).

Knowing these hormone levels might help to explain the apparent disconnect between TSH and the thyroid hormones.
