Breast pain

I was told that I have fibrocystic breast 2 months ago. Mammogram and ultrasound around that time both came back negative. My breast tenderness and aching start a week before my period and end sometime durning. My last period was a week or so ago and I am having breast pain again. A dull ache in my left and a shooting pain every once in a while in my right (my right gives me the most problems). I am a little 'worried' about this because Ive never had the pain outside of the week before my periods. I believe I am ovulating because I am discharging. My question is, could that be the reason for the pain? Is FBD associatied with ovulation? I believe I read somewhere a while back that the pain/conditon sometimes starts with the first day of ovulation but im not sure if I am remembering it right. Its only been 3 months since Ive started experiencing the symptoms of FBD so im not familiar with my body's changes related to it.  Am I over thinking on this or should I go see my doctor?

Dear JayDee_936:  Breast cancer is not usually painful.  Your mammogram and ultrasound was normal, leading to less suspicion of malignancy.  In order to have the pain evaluated, you should seek the opinion of a medical breast specialist.  You may also ask if there are things you can do to minimize the symptoms of FBD.
