Herceptin

Do the benefits of Herceptin outweight the risks, i.e. heart/lung problems?  I am scheduled to being Herceptin treatment every three weeks at the conclusion of my chemo treatments.  Thanks.

Dear puggins, This is not a question that we can answer for you.  The weighing of risks and benefits of a specific treatment are part of the discussion with the oncologist who is making the recommendation for the treatment.  They (the oncologist) are in the best position to discuss the risks and benefits of the treatment for your individual situation.
