Is it possible to have long term effects after chemo?

Is it possible to have long term effects after chemo?

I went through chemo in 2001 for breast carcinoma.  The cancer broke off in my left breast and drained into the latteral lymph nodes.(mammogram showed two lymph nodes swollened)  The oncologist gave me Taxol and Adriamycin. I was taken off one of them(the red stuff) because of the tingling in my toes and fingers. I ached all over with all my treatments.  The problem is; I still ache all over and my last treatment was in Nov. 2001.  Is this normal?  I have mentioned it to the doctor and he doesn't seem concerned.   Sueann

Dear Sueann:  It is common to ache during treatment with taxol.  I have also heard that some people do ache beyond completion, although it is not usual.  You might find more information on www.chemocare.com.  Under mangaging side effects you will find more information.
