I have felt some lumps in my breast for a few months. I had an ultrasound and mommogram done and was told everything is fine. Why do I have lumps???

Dear robinnow21:  It is not uncommon for breast tissue to feel lumpy.  Some women have fibroglandular breast tissue and this can feel lumpy and sometimes painful during certain time during the menstrual cycle.  You might check with your doctor who could likely do a better job of explaining the findings in your breast tissue.  When checking for lumps, you should be feeling for changes as breasts often do not feel smooth.  Familiarizing yourself with how your breasts feel may help you to identify abnormalities in the future.
