Nipple Question

Nipple Question

A few months ago I noticed what looked like a white blister on my right nipple and after a few weeks it seemed like it went away, now the area is way lighter (almost white) than the rest of the nipple; i sometimes have pain in nipple/breasts. My aunt on my mothers side had breast cancer (1 breast removed) and before she was dx'd it looked like someone had bitten her nipple and her daughter (my cousin) had both breasts removed due to cancer.

Dear Nikkipoo:  Occassional pain in the breast/nipples is not uncommon and there are many possible explanations.  Most breast cancer is not painful.  Skin on the breast is like skin anywhere on the body and is subject to abnormalities like pimples etc. Without examination, we cannot comment on the "blister."  If you are concerned, you should see your doctor for evaluation.
