diagnostic mammogram

diagnostic mammogram

Bilateral diagnostic mammogram with tangential, mediolateral, additional views.
Findings: Clinical: Left Breast Cancer,
Comparison is made to exam dated: 12/3/99
there are scattered fibroglandular elements in both breasts.
Stable Post-lumpectomy changes noted.
No significant masses, calcifications, or other findings are seen in either breast. There has  been no significant interval change.
Question : Clinical terms Is no signivicant mean NONE or nothing they want to CALL right now? The left a mass in my breast for eight years and the tumor was beneign but when i talk to the radiologist he said "by leaving the mass there so long the to foci of cancer began for lack of knowing what i want to say. the tumor was beneign from the pathologist and the two foci of cancer removed. Should i trust this benign mammogram or get a second opinion?

From what you have noted in your question it looks like you have had left breast cancer, and this mammogram is a follow-up exam.  It was compared to a previous mammogram from 12/3/99.   Each time a mammogram is done it is not done in exactly the same way
