red spot on breast

My mother noticed a read spot on the inside of her left breast 2 weeks ago. It was after we worked out and she thought that it was irritation from the underwire bra that she was wearing. She has since stopped wearing that bra. The read spot is still there but is lighter when she wakes up in the morning or is just resting. It also gets lighter if she pushes on it. The spot is still there though. She is going to the doctor in a couple of days. Could this be a symptom of IBC?

Dear kahg76:  Inflammatory breast cancer usually presents as a swollen, red, hot to touch breast.  The skin often resembles an orange peel.  Skin on the breast is like skin on any other part of the body and is subject to a variety of abnormalities.  Having it evaluated by the doctor will hopefully shed some light on what this might be.
